I don't know if geronimojoe does reblueing, but I know he's fixed a revolver for me. Did a great job.

The guy on Broad in Griffith usually has a 6 month wait on items.

is it best to reblue it or should i just have it coated with something else

Handgun, or long gun? Some places will work on the top end, some you can send in for like certain coatings.(just the slide, not the entire gun). Hard chrome can be had as a low luster, or nickel plated, or blued. What would you like done?
FYI: Guttridge in Griffith restored a M10 Revolver for me( looked like it was drug behind a car for a mile) about 10 yrs ago, reblue and added an orange insert on the front sight. The work was worth the wait, has held up well, and as my eyes have aged, really appreciate the orange sight for accurate target shooting. Wasn't cheap, didn't want a budget job. He is backed up a bit, but my experience with him is positive. It is my favorite CCW, and HD weapon.(it's only a 38 spec.)
