I still have a spot in my heart for the 7.62, esp. when shot in an early Springfield supermatch or a Hook Bouton tuned M-14 on a full size (200,300,600 yard) National Match course. Due to expense, I do not shoot it much anymore. The .45acp is still a favorite, and I do still shoot that one often.

That's tough. My top choices are...M60 7.62x51mm, M240B 7.62x51mm, and ole Ma Duece M2HB .50 cal machine gun. All of these are very close to being my favorite but the ultimate gun I've shot would have to be the MK 38 25mm machine gun. It's not like you can go out and shoot something like that any time you want so that puts it at the top of my list.

Sako Vixen .222. Because I remember what I paid for it every time I shoot it. Bought the darned thing for less than the Leupold on top of it was worth.

2nd would be the RRA heavy varmint.... Very accurate.

3rd is prolly whatever .22 is newest in the stable. Currently a Finnfire Varmint.

And if I'm hunting squirrels, Kimber Pro Varmint in Hornady Mach2.:D

Depends on what I have with me. That's what I love to shoot right then. I'm not picky, I like shooting pretty much everything from .22LR and 45ACP and 44Mag and 38Spl and 30-30 and 22-250 and .223/5.56 and 30-06, 300WinMag, .257weatherby, .50BMG. If I'm shooting it, I'm loving it!!!

If you haven't noticed I love my lever guns. Right now , under the back seat of my truck rides a 336. It is worn , beat , the bluing is turning brown, it has electric pencil scribbles on it, the stock has hunter education stamped in it, the barrel band is stripped, the barrel has been shortened to 16.250" and is handier than pockets on a shirt. It'll drop a deer or coyote with equal authority. Of coarse it's a 30/30 a round that has been declared dead and worthless more times than I can remember. Yet walk into anywhere that carries ammo and odds are that you'll fine a box and probably it'll be cheapest of all commercial center fire rounds. Ride my 4 wheeler on the back roads of Owen county with my EBR slung on my back and it'll raise a few eyebrows, but with old Stubby {336} and most smile wave, maybe even want to pass the time of day. Do I love my 30/30 you bet, personally I think every gunner should have one with a couple hundred rounds for it.....:@ya:........<><Duce

Mini-gun - went to Knob Creek gun show about 5-6yrs ago and paid to shoot one. Paid to shoot a Thompson 45 fa at the same show but the mini-gun by far has been the most fun, and expensive 30 seconds, I've had shooting a gun.

My least favorite was my dad's Browning 10ga single shot with a 3.5" mag. Only gun that ever put me on my back side. I'm glad (kinda) he left it to his friend when he past.

300BLK 8” suppressed pistol. I have spent countless hours tweaking this gun and the ammo to get it quiet and I think I’ve finally got it where I want it. Brings a smile to my face every time I go to the range.

I love 7.62x39. Especially out of an AK, of course. I don't discriminate against the SKS though.

Since it travels slower than 5.56 you get a slower report back from steel targets which makes it great fun from 100-300 yards. (Haven't tried further)

Oh yeah and it's affordable. Even now, you can get a case for under $400 if you're quick with online in-stock notifications
