a turkish mauser in 8mm. I thought all guns kicked like that, when i got the ar i barely felt any recoil at all and wondered if the first round was a dud Yes im serious
Nylon 66. Got it because a friend had one. Put a cheap-o scope on it that had to be rezeroed every time I took it out. Oh the days of shooting a WHOLE 50 rd. box of ammo at one time!
Winchester 22 single shot bolt action, a good friend gave it to me when I was around ten or so still have it today I am 45 last gun I would ever part with.
Marlin model 60. Gave it to a friend. He was a nongun guy. Until he moved out in the woods and stuff started to try and come in the house. Now he is a very good shot and progun. He hates to admit it though. I may have to trade him out of it. I never really thought of it as my first rifle before.
My first rifle... I have it in my hands, right now, a High Standard, Sport King, Special, Model A1041, .22 L, LR, or high speed shorts... lost my Dad, in 2002, will NEVER lose this rifle...
First rifle I ever owned was a Crossman Powermaster BB/pellet gun in the '60's. First one I purchased was a Marlin, bolt action .22 with a Weaver scope. bought in the early '70's.
My first rifle was a shotgun! Well, actually it was both. It was a Savage (or maybe Stevens) .22/.410 over/under. Traded very soon for a Remington .22 bolt action with a scope.
