Just for fun topic, what is your favorite shotgun for hunting or skeet or whatever type of shooting you favor, list the pros and cons. Mine is a Remington 1100, great balance, very dependable, easy to find parts although they rarely need any, many rem-choke and slug type barrel choices. The only thing I would like to see change on the 1100 is the weight, a little lighter would be nice for all day hunting.:dunno:

    Benelli M1Super90 (early 90's H&K imports, specifically) which I use for 3-gun.

Light weight, simple operating system and I point them better than a Remmy.

I grew up shooting a 870 and an 870 Wingmaster both for hunting and trap. I've also shot an 11-87 quite a bit. I like them all, but I prefer the ergos of the Benelli.

The Remington 870 is my choice for a pump gun.

I have yet to have a good experience with any S/A shotgun, that I have owned. I have shot a couple of the Benelli's and was impressed.

I have a Red Jacket built Saiga 12 that is finished and being painted as I post, I should have it in hand soon. (I have 10 10rd AGP mags and a MD20 20rd drum for it.)

of those that i currently own, i have to say my 1100. i like my 11-87, but it's set up for buck and slugs only and doesn't run on my normal pin load. the 870 was my companion for my vacations with uncle sugar. but the 1100, built by darrel stonebraker, with the 19rd magazine is just too much fun.

The shotgun is strictly a defensive tool in my house, and my choices are Saiga-12 for semi-auto, and Remington 870 for pump.

Currently, my only shotguns are a brace of Saigas, but I've been playing around with the idea of doing up another 870 just for grins. I love my shotguns, but I don't shoot them nearly enough. The siren song of the carbine has just been too seductive lately. ;)

I love my super90's. The ghost ring sights are amazing. That's why I own two...

I use a 20ga Ruger Red Label for skeet, and a Remington 1100 for trap. My dad and grandpa did a lot of work to the 1100 when they were using it heavily for trap. It is a nicely balanced, smooth swinging gun with a great trigger. That said, I like my Ruger more. The reasons being that it is mine, given to me by my grandpa when I was 10. He died 5 months later. It is also smaller and lighter than the 1100, and is very snappy for swinging around a skeet or sporting clays field. It is a fun gun, but it kicks like a mule.

I love my Mossy 500. It's simple, accurate, and I have a lot of memories with it.

I've thought of getting a sem-auto, but just can't justify the expense.

    I have a Remington 870 for home defense. I like 870's
Had a Mossburg about twenty years ago I hunted with.
I liked the way it felt when I held held and used it.
