Xd .40 service for $549. It was an anniversary pack. I got the gun, five mags, two mag pouches, and the holster. Then I got two more free mags, from a promotion they where having. That's about $145 in free gear.

Well last fall I bought a mauser K98 that is in near perfect condition at a nearby dealer, was imported but all numbers matched that I can find. For $150 looks to be unfired. Not too long before that I bought my yugo SKS there for $250, where a couple days before I had bought 450 rds of chinese ammo for $40, and then was given 2 cases of the chinese ammo for free!!! I got the ammo so cheap cause my uncle was helping take care of a estate auction for a patient of my mom's. And he dug those cases up after the auction and asked me if I could use them, so he just gave them to me :D

Retracted..."after the auction" was an important phrase missed.

A good friend of mine is going through a divorce and selling some of his arms so I got a brand new Walther p22 (which I have come to love) and a savage 110 30-06 rifle with a scope (near new but with a big scratch on the stock) both of them for $225. Im not very knowledgeable about firearms prices but I knew it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Now only waiting on the call for his Bushmaster ar-15 which he is thinking about selling :D.

I've been hoping to find a 'affordable' M-16 (NFA) for years....

I put the word 'out on the street about 2 years ago. The last Friday before Labor Day my Class III dealer gave me a call. "Pat, do you have $1000 on you?" Sure, I could get it, but I couldn't see any M-16 at that level. But I said I'd be there first thing on Monday. Well, that was Labor Day, so I went on Tuesday. The deal? : NIB, DPMS Panther, M-10, perfect partner for my M1A ! Came with all the papers, 6 DPMS Mags, case, etc. $900.!!! I asked no questions, except "What's the left-over $100 for?" He had 100 rds of ChiCom API to go along with the gun. Best deal of my life, probably $800~1000 less than retail. Pat

Bought my first 1911 springfield armory for 400.00 brand new in the box in 2001,still my favorite pistol

I guess I have two buys, both at Cabelas, that I got for approximately 1/2 the actual value, my Russian Margolin Olympic 22 and the CZ-97b I picked up lately.

On another forum, I drooled over a deal one guy got. He picked up a 1936 or so K98, legitimate all matching for $250, easily a $1,800 TO $2,000 value rifle.

Back in late January I was just getting my Ohio CHL and decided I wanted a S&W M&P9c for my primary carry gun. I called a few places and everywhere was either sold out or high priced (just in the beginning of the Obama gun scare). I was able to find a place that said they had one for $520 with case and 2 10 round magazines. Sweet!, I said, and told them I'd be there on Tuesday (Monday was MLK day I think).

When I got there that Tuesday they told me the distributor raised the prices, and the price was now $585... it had jumped $65 in two days. I told them to forget about it and took my show to the internet. I started browsing a few forums and found a guy who had a 2 year old, NIB one with the old standard 12 round magazines for $450.

Aside from that, back in 2006 I bought a S&W 5946 9mm police issue gun from the City of Cincinnati when they switched to the M&P9. They sold 1400 of them for $240, and it came with 3 high-cap 17 round magazines, a case and night sights. I kept it for 3 years and sold it for $400 to fund my M&P9c.
