I bought a 350 legend, two boxes of 350 ammo, bore snake, bore cleaner, and Lucas gun oil.

AR platform or independent rifle? I have both and was curious.

Been stumbling through the transition from iron sights to red dots, lately. Old eyes thing. Today I picked up a Sig Romeo 1 Pro and mounted it on a P320X Compact. Nice little rig likely to become my EDC.

Didn't buy but I received the XS sights I won in a raffle this summer. They are sitting on top of a couple M&P compacts now.

A beautiful Remington 700 BDL chambered in 30-06. Born in August 1971, it has the old style checkering with fleur de lis pattern. Only missing the front sight hood. Sadly, the old Bushnell Sportview 3-9x40 it came with has an internal issue causing a line right across the crosshairs. Will have to source a similar period correct optic.

IIRC they went cut checkering around 74. Before that was pressed (and thinner style forend).
They did cut checkering, full panel (not skip line) for only a couple yrs (wider forend).
Skipline cut was started maybe '76.
