No I have never used 6.5 Carcano as a parent. I agree that the parents for the Czech are always expensive and ofter hard to find. This recent batch I had to order from Canada because all of the web sites I reviewed at the time showed "out of stock". The cost of the Canadian postage was almost the same as the cost of 220 Swift brass.

If I could find 3 to 5 of the 6.5 Carcano to try as a parent I may switch.

I'm stretching out my CMR scoped SAM7SF.

Ordered a Henry .22
Just the base model youth size with a 16 in barrel and cuts for a scope mount.
It will be the first lever action firearm I have owned.
I seem to be on a .22 kick lately. Also ordered a couple boxes of SK and Lapua .22s Just for testing bulk vs high end ammo.
