I am shopping to buy a Dillon press today.
Do i need to buy Dillon dies at $60 or will the Lee dies for around $30
    work?
Also the prices seem to be the same for the press every place i have
checked,is there a best place to shop?
    Thanks
    Chuck

Brianenos.com is a good place to get your dillon... his prices will be the same because Dillon closely regulates them, but the site admin is a retired competition shooter that is still supporting the sport by hosting online forums, so he'd get my business if I were in the same place.

The Dillon dies are nice, but I'm not sure they are worth the cost. The lee dies are OK. I like the Dillon bullet seating die quite a bit better than the lee, and I think the resizing die has a better design for tapering cartridges like 9mm, but I'm not sure these improvements are worth the extra $30.

Keep in mind, if you are using Dillon's powder measure/dispenser you will still have to get a powder die and a powder funnel even if you use Lee dies.

The powder funnel is caliber-specific and comes with the caliber conversion kit (along with the shell plate and locator pins).

The powder die could be used for multiple calibers, unless you plan on using the interchangeable tool heads feature and leaving your dies set up.

I don't rebember if my 550b came with a powder die or not.
