In effort to respect house rules, I will limit my response to "They are ***************".

Even if somehow the tech was perfect and it could never fail...how long would it take for someone to come along with the ability to hack and break it(see KIA and 15 year olds stealing cars with thumb drives and a USB cord).

How long before remote shut off is added(see cars)?
How long before optional becomes required(see every safety feature on cars)?
How long before you need to pay a monthly fee to keep using your firearm or a per round fee(see features on cars)?

Anything that can be used to take power away from owners will be in the long term.

    So hell no.

Smart guns, the dumbest idea ever.

However, a few years ago, I remember reading about a smart scope based on Linux that could calculate trajectory and adjust its reticle on the fly for any shot at distance. That would be cool to have.

How about “smart” fire extinguishers? Makes as much sense.

Honestly, and I say this as a customer, TSUSA needs to rethink their blog.

My thoughts exactly. A firm hell no for the reasons you stated.

Umm, with terms like “revolutionize the industry “ and “redefine gun ownership“, tells me all I need to know. Didn’t even click the link. Wanna guess what I think?

All autos and trucks are now dependent on electronics.
High end kitchen appliances have built-in computers.
Who would be crazy enough want to own a gun whose function is dependent on electronics?
