I’ve been hooked on vintage Rocky Patels lately. ‘90 and ‘92 I believe have been my favorite so far. Went out to shoot sporting clays Solo a few weeks ago and fired up one while shooting. Quite enjoyable.

Not sure on afternoon... maybe a Joya de Nicaragua.

Hoyo De Monterrey La Amistad Black. Rolled by A.J. Fernandez. Has an Equador Sumatra Oscuro wrapper. This stick has a killer depth of flavor. Lots of Cake Spice, Espresso and Cocoa notes. Strength is medium to medium full. Starts sweet and with the cocoa in the foreground, middle third is nice and smooth, finish is somewhat earthy with a bit of increase in strength.
I would say that almost any A.J. Fernandez smoke is in the "premium" category, and I have never had a badly constructed stick of his.
I also love the A.J. New World maduros, they are a good price (about 8 bucks in a store) and deliver awesome flavor.

I enjoy smoking a fine cigar once in a while. But the company I work for does random drug testing and nicotine is one of the test. If you test positive you pay around $1000 more per yr for insurance.

Another late night auction win arrived today. I got a box of 15 Wrath's by Studio Tobac. Never heard of them but as cheap as they were, hard to pass up.

I'm enjoying one of these on a drizzling SW Michigan evening. We ate supper and now it's time for dessert. Sipping a cup of coffee too.

I picked one I've been wanting to try. A "Kentucky Fire Cured". I heard about it on a podcast. It's made by Drew Estate. The process on curing the leaves is different and sounds interesting. Explained in the below link.

R and J Media Noche. An easy to smoke Maduro. Not heavy at all. I like a full bodied Maduro, too but this one is surprisingly mild. Got a deal from CI.

I tried the Chloe. Not that good. Kinda plain and the wrapper blew out about a inch into the stick.
