A lot of us spend quite a bit of time looking for and talking about having or building supplies of handgun and rifle ammo, but what about shotshells? Generally we hear people say a good storage number is 1000 rounds per caliber. Should this same guide be used for shotshells?
Personally, I have become so caught up in my quest for .40 and .22 cal that I have totally neglected shotshells. I only have a couple of boxes of #6 and 00 left at the moment. I find my actions rather strange now that I think about it. If SHTF I would much rather have a stockpile of ammo for my Remington 870 than my MP40. I guess it's shame on me for not prioritizing my available cash. Shotshells are everywhere.
