I know where locals are. My problem is our location/terrain prevents proper “line of sight” since digital transmission and distance. Wasn’t an issue previously, only since the switch to digital. Doesn’t really matter for us as most of the programming we want isn’t available strictly over air. Cable or satellite required.

About 75 channels OTA here, but since I don't speak Spanish very well or Japanese and Polish at all and don't care about home shopping or TV preachers, only about 35 are of interest...but there are some doubles and triples. This is the golden age of being able to watch vintage TV shows.

I had Dish Network for 6 or 7 years until 2008. I don't miss it.

I say "only" 35, but when I was a kid, it was NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS and LeSea.
