Not real sure this falls into a Political Discussion, but it is sorta heavy on the American political scene...
Stars and Strife on IMDB - I caught this on Starz on DirecTV this morning.
You may not agree with the viewpoints of some of the speakers, but they all share the same dissatisfaction with the current state of US v. THEM mentality.
Some of you may have read my rantings about the short comings of our current political arena:
- the Left and the Right are moving further from each other
- actual progress for America has been halted while we fight among ourselves
- the majority of Americans still believe in our country and the American Dream - on both sides of whatever line
This is being promoted and pushed by big money:
- main stream media who benefits from the uproar
- social media giving minority opinions an echo chamber
- Wall Street who also benefits from the turmoil
- politicos who get more screentime by making divisive statements
- corporate entities that have the resources to "buy" action in Congress
America used to be a place where we worked together to accomplish our goals. Even when we didn't agree on the destination, we would work together on the journey to make sure nobody ran us into a ditch or tree along the way. Everyone realized that there would be another road trip next week, and that next destination might be more appealing.
Now we have 6 people in the front seat, all fighting each other for the controls - and not just the radio station. At best, there's no movement. At worst, there's no-one actually driving. It seems to me that we should all be able to see where this ride is going.

As we've seen through history, when America puts up a united front to achieve a goal there is nothing that will stop us. How do we unite the people again?
How do we get back to a government that serves its people, rather than simply serving themselves from the trough of money being pushed into their pockets?
Do we need a bogey-man to defeat? Do we need to "go back to the moon"?
How do we enlighten the American people to the fact that our dividers are the enemy?
