I recently picked up a Springfield RO in 45acp and I want to start shooting Steel challenge in Warsaw. I decided on the single stack division because I shoot best with a 1911 and the RO is a tack driver. I've never shot in a formal competition but I know that if I suck, I cannot blame it in the gun. Anyways I warmed up the 550b and loaded 500 rds of ammo. How many stages are there at your club and how many rounds do I need to bring? I picked up a Bladetech revolution holster with my last Dillon order. I have 3 Wilson 47d mags and the 2 stock Springfield 7rd mags. Just trying to get an idea of other things I need to bring with me? Thanks!

Glad to hear you are interested in our match! Our monthly Steel Challenge match consist of 4 of the 8 steel Challenge stages. You will need a minimum of 25 rounds of ammo per stage, I recommend you bring at least 150 rounds for the match. If you don't use you can always take it home. I think 5 magazines are ideal but you can get by with less, just need to ask some one on your squad to help you stuff mags while you're shooting. Your holster will be good, mag pouches are not required. Eye and ear protection you'll be ready to go.
