I picked up a new 9mm PPS today and have a trigger question. I loaded a snap cap into it and pulled the trigger. When I released the trigger it did not go forward (reset). It did reset....returned to forward position - once I racked the slide. Is this normal? I have not actually fired it yet and I know they have a pretty gritty trigger from the factory but this just seems kinda odd. Thanks for any input.

yes, that is normal... striker fired pistols (most at least) do not reset after you pull the trigger with no live ammo in the chamber. the striker must be "recocked" after each pull of the trigger (either with the slide moving after one round is fired, or manually during malfunction/ dry firing) in order for there to be a reset in the trigger.
The trigger is a bit gritty in the beginning, just dry fire it and shoot a lot at the range.... it smooths out. PS. I really enjoy my PPS and i am happy how well I can shoot it.
