Vortex AMG

Anyone have experiences with these? Planning optic for new AR build. Curious how it may compare to Eotech?

I had one for awhile and really liked it, actually. It looks bigger than an EOTech, but the footprint is actually about the same. It’s blockier yes, but not actually any bigger.

I found the reticle to be a small upgrade, and appreciated the lack of thermal drift in comparison to the HWS at the time (supposedly resolved now). Try one, you’ll probably like it.

I’ve been eye balling the vortex for some time. I’m contemplating on grabbing one up next time I’m at bass pro. They get very positive reviews and look indestructible.

Might be a little prejudice. Living 30 miles from the Vortec plant and shooting with several employees, you won't find better people to work with if you ever have a problem. very impressive facility high quality product.

I have 3 of these and really like them. No problems. Quick sight picture aquisition.

Only feedback I would give, and is echoed by others on the internet, is refresh rate seems to be slower on the reticle. When transitioning quickly the reticle isn’t as crisp as an Eotech.

The glass also has a bit of a hue to it. This is really only noticeable under night vision.

Minor gripes, it’s still an outstanding optic.
