    AZ2 with VA105 Gunslingers based at NAS Cecil Field (JAX) FL.
    North Atlantic cruise (Scotland)
    Med cruise (Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Sicily, Majorca, Monaco)
    West Pac (Vietnam from '71 to '72 Olongopo was a true experience!)
    I can't say I loved every minute of it, but pretty much most of it...wouldn't take a million for the experience, and found out just how much I loved and appreciated America.
    Lost too many good friends...

    Oh Damn! You're right. I'm still getting the anesthesia out of my system from last Wednesday's surgery, so I can blame any mistakes on that!
    I remember now... I was in the Signal Corps! Wow! That was a LOOOONNNGGG time ago, too! 44 years since discharge! :cheers:

    USMC from '66 to '69, boot camp at Hollywood, BES school, Crypto school at Ft. Monmouth, 16 months in Vietnam at Chu Lai with Mag-12 Comm, softened the chicken **** with 3 R&R's to Bangkok [fun, fun, fun]. Bad guys got our bomb dump during Tet of '68, the shock wave got some of my hearing, screwed up my sinuses, came home, got out.

    173rd Airborne. One and half tours infantry in Bong Son Vietnam. 1970 - 1971. Jump pay and combat pay the whole time. Thank goodness I didn't have to make a combat jump. Charlie always knew where we were. Can you imagine making a jump into a hot drop zone. Did a few chopper assaults into hot LZ's but not hanging from a T10. AIRBORNE!
