How many have used a home vacuum sealer to mold a holster around a handgun? Does the leather flatten back out? Do you have to remold the holster after time? I tried it today and am very impressed with the results.

I started out with two generic flat holsters the cz75b is a Barsony black leather from Amazon and the P09 is a High Noon skin guard. First I wet the inside of the holsters with very warm tap water. Then I wrapped the pistol in a zip lock (to keep pistol dry). Three I inserted pistol into the damp holster. I put the pistol and holster in a heavy Food Saver bag run through the vacuum cycle and sealed it. I used a rubber coated pliers handle to trace all lines and impressions of the pistol into the leather to help form a more fitted look like pre molded holsters. I let set in vacuum sealed bag for 90 min. Removed pistol and let dry overnight.

    Here are my end results....
