While I'm sure most of you are already aware of this, Change Healthcare had a ransomware attack on their systems that process insurance and discount cards on the 2-21. As it just so happens my wife was trying to get a refill on her insulin (type 1) around that same date. With only our primary coverage this is $1000 for 3 months, the manufacturer however provides a secondary card that brings this down to $35. Because of the ongoing outage only our primary coverage will process and not the secondary card. Given that we're into day 12 she now has only a few days of insulin left before we have to either switch to something else or pay the $1000. Is there any point in attempting to extract $$ from them through the legal system for being technologically inept?
