I am taking a ride to Michigan this week to celebrate a friend of mine's birthday. Since he has never fired a gun I told him that I would take him out to some shooting ranges in his area. I have found a 3 so far we could go to.

I am asking this so I can be sure that I wont run into any trouble if I am pulled over for any reason.

Is my LTCH valid in Michigan? If I remember correctly it is.

Does Michigan have any special/different laws on rifles/shotguns being transported in a vehicle than Indiana?

I plan on taking my 2 .22 rifles, 2 .22 pistols, .45 pistol, .40 pistol and maybe my shotgun. If I can find an outdoor range but so far it seem only indoor are in his vicinity.

    Any info guys? :dunno:

You should be good to go. Rifles and shotguns should be unloaded and locked in the trunk. Your LTCH is good in Michigan. If you should happen to be pulled over in a traffic stop, I would notify the LEO you have a permit. We are required to do so here. Have a safe trip and have fun. Later, Bob
