Oh how I WISH I would've snapped a picture of the "Tour Packet" that lovemywoods had assembled! It was rife with Excel spreadsheets and detailed Mapquest maps. . . . It worked well though, as one shop was closed, and having their phone number handy saved us from driving all the way there. Addresses were quickly punched into the Tom-Tom, and we took notes after each stop.
Been to Cosners. That is an interesting shop. Lots of antiques. Also know someone who had work done by Wanamaker. They are still disatisfied. I have been in there but have no desire to go back.
Out of the state, but if going south, Whitakers is a destination
For me, my training regimen consisted of going into Lowe's Hardware locations and Tractor Supply stores with only 15 minutes allotted for the trip. When the timer goes off, I force myself to leave the store. It this way, I develop a tolerance for disappointment. Being married for 30 years gives me an edge in this area as well ...just kidding! (Happily married for 30 years...to the same woman!)
Nice review. When you guys plan to come to southern Indiana let me know. I live in clarksville and am off Tue/Wed and have frequented most of the places around here. Most are small but there are four shops close by I could show you to. Or at least meet up for lunch.
