Top 3 examples of HORRIBLE "advice" I heard given today at the gun show:

    3. "Don't EVER shoot steel cased ammo in your AR, it will ruin the extractor after 100 rounds!"

    2. "Don't buy a Glock, they are cheap plastic junk!"

And the #1 worst advice given:
"That's why you need this shotgun, with buckshot you don't even have to aim, just shoot in the general direction of the threat!"

I wish I could say I was making this stuff up....

The only thing CLOSE to problems shooting steel cases in ARs is I have heard they tend to gum up the works after a while due to the laquer they put on the steel. But permanent problems Not so much.

Well, the ammo guy in the box tried to sell me a box (10) of winchester 12 gauge PDX1 defender shells for 40 bucks. I asked why the price was so high... He says fair overhead? He says his cost is $26. 26 bucks my butt.

I happily walked another 200 feet and paid $14 at the next ammo booth.

Lacquer? Most are polymer coated these days. Good thing I dont have an Ar and only a Mini-14, it fired 100's of round with no problems, those AR's must be junk :lmfao:

It never ceases to amaze me about all the gun legislation that is being signed next week, thus necessitating customers make whatever purchase right now and at an inflated price. After all these years of hearing hose stories, thy still seem to get brought up over and over.
