That's how my Grandmother taught me to make it. 2lbs in a 12" skillet, less than half the time to do the same amount and make them "pretty".

Bacon should be cooked in an oven on a sheet pan. Perfectly straight bacon, everytime, and very low risk of hot-spot-induced-burning.

I like stovetop better than oven. I use a rectangular 2 burner griddle.
