We got some groceries today too, but we still have some room if you ended up with to much.

My fridge was empty. I didn't even have to take the 8.5 pound chicken out to fit it all in. I think some of the chickens I got this last time must have been hiding on butcher days or something...several 8-9 pounders.

went and picked up 80 lbs of leg&thigh qrters. Then went and spent 238 at Kroger's. We need to cut out eating I guess??

Now I need to figure out where to put it all, I think we having chicken Sunday nite. I am currently storing 80 lbs of venison that my son needs to come get.

the swamp is flooded so it drove the mice up and the cats are having a hayday catching and eating them, except for the gut pile I stepped in on the sun porch this morning, barefoot, of course

Howdy Sam, klaus and Greg! Funeral went pretty well. Ended up without a procession to the cemetery at all. Apparently Susan was responsible for arranging an escort. Seems to me that that is something that the funeral home would've done, or at least would have mentioned. I guess it's just as well with the dreary damp weather. We just had the service at the funeral home and let it go at that. It was drizzling when we would have been going to the cemetery, and it had been a long day.

I think with Susan getting to spend time with her daughter's body the other day alone really helped with today. It was still tearful during the service but she handled it very well all things considered.
