    Howdy klaus. What's Swiss potato soup like? Never heard of that.
    cooks some bacon, saute' some onions, make a ruox, add some milk and a bunch of diced yukon gold potatoes,
    add shredded swiss (the best is from Aldi's) and let simmer till the tators are done
    just a nice change from the regular

    just a nice change from the regular
    That does sound good! Basically how I make my potato soup but with swiss cheese added. It's good soup weather today for sure.

    I haven't made soup in forever (not counting chili or ham 'n beans). I like cream-based soups like potato soup and clam chowder, etc., but DoggyMama's not a fan. She likes more brothy soups.

    that is exactly how it is in our house too but if I am cooking we do one then the other, i love cream of Asparagus:drool:
    she does like butternut squash/pear soup that I blend up
