UPDATE: My house didn't burn down. It was just the first time that I turned on the heater.

That'll sometimes do it.

Some aerosol cleaners will set of certain CO monitors.

Side note:

Rees fruit farm where the BBQ sauce came from, has DELICIOUS apple cider ice cream. I would give my left arm for a constant free supply of that stuff...and maybe a supply of mom's apple pie to mix with it

It's okay. I had all of my windows open with the heater on high to eliminate the "new heater smell." Hopefully it will be odor free when it gets chilly and I actually need it.
