    I did not read the post, but was told his mom died the day after the sale. Sad for the family and friends, money doesn't replace a person and hope he also gets a manager to use it wisely. Kudos to all involved.
    His Dad is a cousin to one of the guys in my fraternity at Purdue, that's how I found out.
    I just saw the sad news about his Mom last night. It's a great thing that the farm/4-H community did for that young man.

    The same thing happened in Muncie in 2011 when Muncie firefighter Scott Davis was killed in a church fire. Scott’s kids were involved in 4H, the next month at the fair his youngest son showed a pig and the 4H community came together and bought the pig for a big price. There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience that day. You have to love it when good things like this happen.
