    Hilarious!
Bought a T-Rex Halloween costume for my son when he was a little younger than that kid.

He tried it on (backwards) and came out of his room so proud with that huge stuffed, erect tail protruding from the front instead of out back.

We both lost it! My wife recovered first and got to work helping him.

Up here in West Michigan, everybody calls this dog a “Dash-hound”. They also call that blacktop pavement stuff “ash-fault”. It’s not easy living in a special needs community.
I mean...is that regional thing? 'Cause that's what I call them....never suspected that being from SW MI had anything to do with it.

I’ve lived in MO, Northern Indiana, WI, Central Michigan, and West Michigan. Never heard that term until I moved to West Michigan. I guess some habits are hard to break.

Dachshund comes from German "dachs," badger, what they were bred to hunt. And they don't pronounce it "dash."
When I lived in WI they pronounced “hammock” funny. Normal people pronounce it “ham-uck” but they say “ham-awk” with a very strong emphasis on the last syllable.
