When in okinawa i would eat at the all night chow hall for an early breakfast. Best 18 months of breakfasts in my life. Ham, cheese omelette, half slice ham steak, hash browns, 2 sausage patties, 4 slices bacon, 4 eggs up & toast with jelly and milk. When the jar heads were in town from jungle training in the barracks across the ditch i would haul 4 of them at $2 a head with me. They said their chow sucked. View attachment 340359

Oh yeah. When I was in the Army I was sent with my platoon to Ft. Irwin, CA for desert training. When we were done with the month long training out in the desert, they had us flying out of a nearby Air Force base. As we were 4 hours from our flight, they told us to go to a nearby mess hall to grab breakfast and holy it was a very different experience from an Army mess hall.
