    If Lawyers and Clients can have one and Doctors and Patients can have one tailored to their needs, why can't Private Buyers and Sellers have the same confidentiality privilege within thier pursuits?

    Asking for a friend.
    If you can get the legislature to pass such a law. do it.

    But if you think a bit about why certain privileges exist, then I think you will get it...but you probably won't like it.

    BTW- when it comes to tax time, what a client pays for my services or a patient pays for medical care isn't privileged in any way.

    It would be tough to sidestep the DMV on those grounds or any standing army of IRS agents for that matter.
