    I can attest to this being true. Countless times I've shouted plenty of profanities about the a**holes that design vehicles
    Like oil filters... Why can't they be completely vertical so when you change them, you don't have to dump oil out of the side of the filter? I mean, we put a man on the moon FFS. Seems like a vertical oil filter shouldn't be any harder than that. :):

    The filter on my wife's van is almost completely vertical, but the opening is at the bottom... Yes the filter is near the top of the motor. I'm thinking of getting one of those vacuum oil pumps that you feed through the dipstick tube. Wouldn't even have to get under it to change the oil.
