Yeah. It's almost getting to that point now. They've stayed where they were the night before because we forgot to move them. That is a good one but I have say I don't miss that Elf. Was fun for a few years then Mrs. Mcapo and I had to draw straws to see would have to come up with new ideas. She cheated - she used the internet.
the gun is filthy but beautiful. i wanted to test it before cleaning in case it needed to be returned.@grillak
I had a surplus gun that was "stuck". Used a small hammer and a nylon tipped punch (Dawson Sight Tool) after using a rubber coated clamp to hold the slide in exactly the proper place. Came out with just a couple light taps. Less is more when it comes to force with firearms. Came apart easily after that and I assume it just some gunk built-up even though the gun was fairly clean IIRC.

So...I am sure you can't stop wondering about my first day of steroids....aside from some stomach distress and a little "funny" feeling; no ill side effects, so far.
While it hasn't changed the pain any (only day one) but I can tell that the swelling is reduced as there is less pressure (dealing with a C5/C6 and lower back issue. I slept from 12 pm to 8:34 am - that's pretty unusual - and only woke up because the grand-dog said I was late for our morning ritual.
She runs around in circles and I stand at the door saying "ready, set, GO!" and she bolts out the door, jumps off the deck (trips 1/3 of the time) and then aggressively looks for a squirrel before killing a small portion of my grass.
Yes - I do have a boring life...
Oh, surely I don't ! ...do I ?Oh look! It's the mcapo show!
I wonder how many pages I can go back and make consecutive posts?
What is the record? I think @MindfulMan has it?

Ah well, at times I've been inspired.
I've got that same mini-sledge......looks about the same. I found it along a curb in Goshen, in a new construction neighborhood. It was there all week. It must have fallen off a concrete contractor's truck. So....I did the City of Goshen plow truck a favor, it's been well used in the last 20 years......never on a firearm though.......LOL@grillak

I was given strict orders to NOT get my covid shot until well after the steroids were done so I can imagine it hit you hard.Good for you. Yes, for me the pain relief doesn't kick in until the swelling reaches a certain point. That's what steroids are great for is helping with swelling/inflammation. Once you get to a certain point you'll get a certain amount of pain relief from it. As I said, I took it several times before having any adverse reaction and the time I did was when I was dealing with COVID. so a bit of a different beast.
Oddly....I lost that sledge in 2002 from the bumper of my truck while, umm, umm, anyway. Could you return it?I've got that same mini-sledge......looks about the same. We had 5 kids and now has a full time grandson. Christmas was always a fun time of year around here when they were little.
- now I am old and cranky and its a six week long chore.
No grandkids and none on the horizon, so I'm stuck with boring holidays.
IT WORKED!@grillak

I miss Christmas with my first wife and stepson when he was little. No grandkids and none on the horizon, so I'm stuck with boring holidays.
Boring holidays…..wife is driving me nuts this year. Up until yesterday, we had a Christmas forest in the entrance way. The old tree, with 20 year old incandescent lights issues. A tree ordered online, with incandescent lights. A tree, online from Michaels…MSRP of $1400??….she got it for a steal…$380. And….last but not least, a Costco LED tree…I miss Christmas with my first wife and stepson when he was little. No grandkids and none on the horizon, so I'm stuck with boring holidays.
