I will say, I hate hate HATE the aggressive texture on the P10c grips. I know a lot of people say they like it, but they have to be odd or something. That would be like people saying they like the front strap checkering on a Springfield TRP. Someone had said that they didn't know why people were complaining about aggressive grips on a defensive pistol and I can answer that easily (at least for myself), it's completely unnecessary. I have guns, like my Canik, with much less aggressive grip texture that lock in just fine. I can't see the pistol moving in my grip even if my hands were coated in oil. That grip feels fine. The P10c grip does not. Again, just my :twocents:

As an aside, I was shooting with IGM last week and when he shot my Canik, he said he didn't like the french tickler texture on the back strap. I just found that all kinds of funny. Wonder what he would have thought about the P10c? :):

I've shot less this summer than in several years. I was looking forward to going to the next get together but my son called and they are coming down for a visit that day. It figures.

Me too. And a planer. And a jointer. And a snowblower. It never stops!

I am cool on the wood set up for my intended skills.
There is a decent press inn the classy's I will be snatching up this weekend. It is no where near close to what I have but parts for mine are scarce to non-existent.
It is an older Craftsman commercial model I bought at an auction 20 plus years ago. The bushings have gotten loose in the spindle. I would have to make replacements for it. I have worn out 1 drive motor since owning it. It has seen some usage.

    Family 1st my friend.
I will make up for you not being there by sending huge amounts of ammo down range in your honor.

Hmmm, P10 eh? I could use a second one of those for no good reason I can think of.

I'm leaning strongly towards selling it, but want to give it a couple of weeks. I need to find out if my nephew wants the second Canik, as I'm really thinking I don't need it. I have a great carry gun in the Legion, so I'm not sure why I was thinking about carrying the Canik, even if it is an awesome shooter.

How we justify our purchases sometimes comes back confusing. "Why" did I do that.
With me it is usually "Why" did I put $450 worth of Hot-Rod parts in a gun that will not be worth my total investment..............Just cause I guess.....:lmfao:

Yep, exactly. I just see a good deal and have a hard time passing it up. But it was only $xxx! :):

I don't even try to find a good way to rationalize a gun buy anymore. Any excuse will do. With the P10C, it might be that the HBI trigger upgrade was only available in burnt orange and I'd really like a black one instead, so I ordered the orange one and will have to pick up a second P10C for a black one once they are in stock again.

Does anyone do a deep stash storage for a gun? By deep stash, I mean putting a gun in a location that you could get to that's either away from the house or buried in the yard. I've thought about doing that in the past and have justified gun purchases with the idea that if need be, I could store the unneeded new gun offsite in case my house was burnt, ransacked or otherwise inaccessible. But, I like all of my guns too much to bury any of them. If I don't like them enough to bury them, I trade them for something I do like.

I have a few friends that have done this. Not saying I have or have not but yes, this is a consideration of many who deem themselves prepared.

I've actually considered this myself for various reasons...

With .40 falling out of favor enough to make them tough to sell without losing your shirt, this could be a good use for an under-used G23 or P07. Nah, I could never bury a P07 and every once in a while, I'd go dig the G23 up to shoot it a bit. Now, the G30sf could be a good candidate for that, but I'd still have a hard time actually doing it. Don't know if I could bring myself to trust the spot that would be accessible to me, but not anyone else.

Just drench it in oil....seal it up really well in a PVC tube glued cap on 1 end and threaded on the other. Use Gasoila or similar on the threaded end and bury it just do remember where :):
