I figured out a small problem that I’ve been having with the SP01 Competition Blue. During dry fire drills with the laser trainer sometimes the hammer would feel difficult to cock. At first I thought there was some grit that must have gotten into the hammer/sear assembly but I inspected and cleaned the hammer/sear as best I could and there was no change. Today I figured it out. There was burr on the rear corner of the slide inside the hammer channel. The clearance was just enough that I wouldn’t feel it pulling the trigger in DA but cocking the hammer would put enough side load on it to drag against the burr. The witness mark on side of the hammer verified it. It looked to me like it was a factory defect since it was covered by CZ’s black Cerakote like coating. A few passes with a file took care of it. It’s smooth and consistent every time now.

Old or new same problems, but as along as they keep shooting you are doing good. This Colt 1849 revolver is 160 years old, still shoots . It's got wear scratches on the hammer from something as well. ;)

Pretzels and wine tonight, looks thin on GB. A nice Merwin, but it already has two guys chasing it to the moon.
I had a bid in for an early M29, I was high bidder until about 1 1/2 to go when the real bidders show up lol. I don't know why these places set them for say 10 days or longer, at 4-5 days your still going to get the same action, it just makes people wait forever.

    In the country, hopefully.

I would guess, if it’s anything like trucks and equipment, that they want the most exposure possible. I’ll probably put a truck in an auction this spring and if they told me they were only going to advertise it for 5 days I’d feel shorted.

That's always the justification but there's people on GB looking for specific stuff everyday, if that's the case leave it on for 30 days. Usually if I see something I like and it's 10-13 days I just dismiss it and move on but I can see some sellers point of view. When I list something I want it sold quickly so I do the least amount of time possible and have always gotten my target price.
