Finally, the smoke haze arrived in Owen county ..... so I picked a good day to head home from the cabin. Six nights, seven days of hammocking, campfiring, dog sitting, pellet shooting, camera shooting, electric-guitar wailing adventure.
It was a great getaway. One that I look forward to every year.

This dang radio hobby is getting expensive. Still though, even though I just ordered my 6th radio, this one being a Yeasu VX6R, I've got less invested in all of these than I do my PCR. Far less actually. The first 4 were UV-5Rs and cost me less than $100 for all 4. The next was a Yaesu FT65R and was under $100. The new one is only $249 and will round out my needs until I decide to get into digital.

It is turning out to be a very engaging hobby though.

Evening OG triples. Hope everyone is staying hydrated.

Playing with the new MSR/Juliet combo. Wanted to raise it up a bit, easy fix. Previous mounts from a Romeo 5 have the same footprint (Aimpoint T1/T2). Included spacer for magnifier put me dead level at 1.53" over bore. Also added was a mount directly from SIG w/ QD lever, and in lieu of push button it is equipped with a "force to move" throw similar to Eotech's magnifier.
