It’s a requirement of the job.
“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”

― Booker T. Washington, My Larger Education, Chapter V: The Intellectuals and the Boston Mob (1911)

Huh. I didn’t think Al Shapton and Jessee Jackson went back that far.

Okay. If shoplifting doesn't get you prosecuted, it should at least get you hurt. Stores will need to start hiring armed badasses and just beat the **** out of every shoplifter.
Then they would get sued and lose even more. Businesses closing and leaving the area is the only recourse.

    .
Close up and move out. When there are no stores to steal from in the city they will move out into the burbs.

That would get the individuals hired and the business owners and managers arrested, tried, convicted of high felonies and tossed into prison for many years. That's how Looney Tunes it's become in Commiefornia.

This is precisely what is occurring in not only San Francisco Bay area, it's also happening in other areas of Commiefornia, Portland and Seattle. Smaller businesses and chains/franchises like Walgreens are fleeing from them. You get what you elect. The socio-political policies of the looneys they elected into office are the direct cause.
