I recently added a Impact Weapons Components hand stop to my recently converted AK47, Installation was pretty straight forward. Find out where you want it, mark the hold drill and install. The only thing you might have to do is grind the inside of the hand guard and bolt if you want to keep your cleaning rod. It contours to the bottom of the hand guard perfectly and feels awesome!!! Best $30 I have spend on an AK. I place the hand stop in between my pointer and middle finger. Its very comfortable!

Here is the part I purshased: Its the second one!
AR15 WEAPON CONTROL MOUNTS - Brownells

Here is how it looks on the rifle. This is definitively for those purest who want better control over the front of the AK platform with out buying an expensive/tacticool rail system!
