Got this idea from DoggyDaddy on a comment he posted about someone in the outdoor thread lookibg for something lite an such for camping...so i searched and didn't find anything just for the AR7. Post up what you got and pics

I got my Armalite AR7 when the girlfriends grandma passed away. It has cracking in the stock i fixed with 2 part epoxy. it's missing the endcap. After taking all apart and cleaning, it shoots really well. 20230225_160112.jpg 20230225_160101.jpg

    Did you mean Israel?

    That's a cool old AR7 you've got.
I thought it said italy..wouldn't be first time i forgot..lol
When i search these forums for an ar7 thread, i came across a guy that had an overseas 1 and i guess it was worth collecters pricing. Well he was out shooting it an had a hot load in the mix..blew up on him. Did some serious damage to it. He was fine though.
When i got mine, i thought it was the neatest thing once i seen what it was. I thought it was another old pellet gun being i had just got done cleaning 2 for the gf uncle.

Found the post from 2012..you were correct.
She once was a Briklee imported Armalite AR-7 Israeli pilots survival rifle, and was quite rare and collectible.

I have a Henry and like it a lot. Surprisingly I found in the limited shooting I have done that the 60 gr SSS Aguila shoots very well at 50 yards.

Perfect thing to leave stashed in the car.
I thought of that for in the truck. I also got to looking at the pics of them and thought. If 1 was to cut the barrel down to 10", that would work but then it's a sbr.. so then looking at the stock, that would easily cut down too. I wouldn't do it with my original armalite.

There used to be a pistol version of the AR-7 made by Charter Arms... but as well as those junkers worked. Henry did a lot of work to get the AR-7 working again.
