Is there a reason why people are mounting the optics on their Tavor so far back? In my experience and findings an optic mounted further forward is easier to line up and get on target.
I've got my aimpoint pro mounted as far back as possible but still able to flip up back up iron sight. Did this for two reasons. One to keep as much weight towards the back of the rifle as possible and two because I like the field of view that it gives me.
I stuck my Eotech close to the rear back up sights probably because I'm used to dropping them that way on a flat-top AR. Really didn't think of mounting it too far forward but I'll give it a shot and see if it feels as natural.
I have my aimpoint mounted just a little forward of the trigger, I would say it is about in the middle of the rifle. I don't know if that is considered forward or not, but it works for me. And I can still use my BUIS if need be.
