The Central Indiana Gold Prospectors Association of America is having an outing in Morgan Monroe State Forest at the The 130 year old Draper log cabin {in MMSF} from July 17th-20th.
We will have a pitch in dinner {mostly wild game} Saturday the 18th at the cabin.
For those who want to see what it was like or "what it would be like" here in indiana your welcome to join us... you can expect to see rabbits and deer meat being cooked on an open fire just outside the old cabin... along with some potatoes, carrots and other home grown foods raised right here in Indiana.
Our outing has a "throwback" theme that dates to the 1880's that could just as easily be "a day in the not so distant future"... in "anywhere Indiana" if The SHTF.
We plan on it being sort of like the old fur trapper rendezvous... plan on a feast but please contribute something {drinks, meat, or a side dish} if you wish to attend.
Its free {I already paid for it}... you can join us for the night {or just for dinner}... there is plenty of room for tents and even RV's... also a few spots are open to stay in the cabin.
I see so many talk about "ready bags" or "bug out Bags" have any of them really been tested??? This is your chance ... and your main meal will largely be provided for.
Also the weather will be ideal for Indiana... with hot days and warm nights... so even the "fair weather folks" shouldn't be to uncomfortable.
We had a couple of people join us at our last outing and a few in the past... but this is a chance for many of you to see just what it would be like if SHTF :patriot:
Not to mention if you show up by 5 pm on July 18th {the time of our meeting} you can get in on the gold and silver raffle that will include some amazing old gold and silver coins... all pre 1900's.
Not that i'm calling you all out but it would be nice to see who is the real deal here in indiana.:ingo:
