^^^ This, a thousand times this!

I am SO sick of rules for thee, but not for me.

"THE Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution."
    "Amendment I.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
I am sorry if a swastika offends someone, but really use of law enforcement regarding such use absent some other actual crime simply reinforces the utter breakdown of due process and equal protection before the law.

I am sure some a** hat is going to claim the swastikas were a defacement of public property. Well sorry, but so was the LGTBQxyz rainbow! If the rainbow painters were not similarly attacked, then there is an obvious non-equality before the law. (kind of in line with Hillary and Hunter versus Trump and Stone, or those in the gulag for Jan. 6th)

There has been a metric **** ton of written garbage, signs, telecasts, and on and on and on which I found offensive and arguably criminal. Regardless, that is only my OPINION, and I recognize others Right to their freedom to speak as they wish barring direct unequivocal threats or statements which increase danger for others (i.e. the yelling fire in a crowded theater trope). If you don't understand this simple concept, you probably don't need your citizenship, move to communist China, I'm sure you will be happier there.

    :ranton:
What about the one he did on the statue at the Federal Reserve bank? That one protected speech too?

He should have put up posters of Che Guevara if he wanted to make that kind of statement. Everybody would have loved it.

But that's because most people don't really know what he was about.

Why is there a political symbol like a "gay pride crosswalk" painted on a public road?
Absolutely. Street markings are for traffic information, not feelings.
You know IIRC these street markings were discussed here, and I believe most were in favor. I could be wrong, and it was someplace else. And I'm pretty sure quite a few here would be a bit irate if these were graffitied with a swastika. I would be.

We'll see your Marxist garbage and raise you some pro-police work. Morons. If you open the door to this stuff, you should be fine when the other side does it.

When a society allows a group to express themselves on public property, then all groups must be allowed access for that same purpose. Whether I approve of a groups expression is not the issue. Government opened a can of worms by allowing painting on public property. I believe government should be taken to court and forced to provide like space for any group that asks to paint or make any other expression that is not a physical hazard without exception. They cracked the door open, time for others to bust it wide open.
