Survival Book

[No Time to Shoot]

I'm looking for a good all around survival guide that has medical remedies and plant guides in it. Basically something that talks about how to field dress game to how to patch yourself up when the game isn't dead...lol. Would also like it to include herbal remedies and plant identification.

Those are good books. I had a lot of those when I was younger but somehow through the years they have disappeared. I did manage to find a new one at a Barnes & Noble recently and should get the remaining ones.

I did find this link for downloading the FM 21-76 Army Field manual... there is a link for a another free manual with the exact same title on the Internet but it was only 100 and some odd pages. This link is for a pdf of 277 pages... I think this is what we all need... and it's free

Here is a very good book written in a no BS style. The author has an interesting sense of humor, which is found throughout the book and I have say I enjoy reading it. It is a thick book of over 600 pages and covers a wide range of material from a common sense approach.

What he said. This has everything from survival in the woods and dressing all kinds of game, finding medicine, making shelters, making traps, navigation and a whole bunch of other stuff. Excellent book.
