I figured there would be a build thread sticky, but either I missed it or it doesn't exist. So here goes with my planned build.

Ordered a Silencerco .22Sparrow last week, first part of thd build since it will take the longest to get.

Host will be a Savage fv-sr with a Boyds Varminter thumbhole stock.

Currently undecided on optics, leaning towards a Nikon Prostaff.

Pics to come when I actually start to handle these things!

My FV-SR is one of my favorites, I shoot it 200 yards regularly with great accuracy, I went with a Vortex scope from Alan at AA optics.

The FVSR is an excellent suppressor platform...

Thanks for the links! How do you like the TactiCool stock? It looks decent, I just really like their laminated stocks. Reading those threads has me contemplating saving more money for a better scope.

The stock has worked very well for me and I know BigCraig likes his. They are reasonably priced. The laminated stocks might be nicer looking.

Here's a picture of my FV-SR, before the can got approved:

I like the Tacticool, its a nice stock for the price, I wish the centerfire Tacticools had the same A5-style forearm as the rimfire models.

And a crappy phone pic of my AR22:

Check out Nikon's PROSTAFF 3-9 Rimfire BDC 150. I have been using one on my custom 10/22 for a year now and using the BDC reticle i have plinked steel crows at 200 yards. I have been waiting almost 9 months on my 3 AAC can's and once the .22 arrives I'll swap out barrel's for the Tactical Solution's 10/22 threaded barrel. A buddy has the same set up and it is sweet. For the most part all you hear is the action cycle. I"ll swap out the can with my Smith 22LR as well, though I won't expect as much accuracy.

Well I picked up the gun today from Mark's Custom Guns. He gave me a decent deal at $275+tax. Shot 10 rounds through it after I scalped the scope and bipod from my 15-22. The last shell from tge mag won't chsmber so I'll have to get another mag. I love how it shoots though!

    Update (With PICS!)

So here are some long overdue pictures for the thread. All the pics are crappy cell phone pics FWIW.

Savage FV-SR, day I brought her home from the gun shop. I didn't realize it before I bought it, but this is one of the older models that doesn't have the fluted barrel. That's ok with me, I think it matches well with the suppressor.

I stole the bi-pod and cheap scope from my 15-22. Looks pretty so far, but I abhor that stock! (Pizza is long gone... sorry)

The above pictures show the progress from "stock" stock to a Boyd's Varminter thumbhole stock with DIP bottom metals.

And finally, after 3 months of waiting for the suppressor to arrive at BGF, we got a conjugal visit on Friday!

Now the (long) wait to bring the suppressor home!

Very very very odd about your FV-SR not being fluted; I bought mine on New Years Eve 2011 and it had the "fluted" (cosmetic in nature only) flutes.

Must have been new (really) old stock...

That's what I figured, but it allows me to do some custom fluting in the future if I decide to do so. I don't mind a solid bull barrel, and since it's only a .22, I don't think it adds a ton of weight.
