    Wow, that's a tough choice.

I like the LMT, Noveske, or even LaRue .308s, I'd also like to have an M1A.

Do you own an AR platform already? You might check Accessories and Mag prices depending on what you want to do with it and factor that in the price as well.

To have a rifle called "Leonidas" would be pretty darn cool though.

If I had the budget I'm assuming you have, I'd probably go with the AR, actually. Those british army ones look cool.

    10/22

When you work your way down to the 10/22 let me know. I've got several that I've played with and might have one to peddle. All have been improved but not completely replaced.
Well, except for the one with the Kidd bbl and trigger group. I think the only stock parts left on that one are the trigger group pins.:D

I've got a springfield scout. It is a great shooter. That being said I'm working on selling it to buy an LMT. The only thing I dont like about the LMT is the $$$$

Why skip the rest and go straight to the best and buy an FN/FAL? In a full length rifle it it the most used .308 MBR ever made. In a carbine length it is shorter and lighter than the Springfield Socom, and as far as accuracy is concerned...it will shoot with either the Ar platforms or M1A's.

If you are asking which to buy I would say you aren't overly impressed with either of the latter. I would make a real effort to shoot all of them if possible, go to a few of the INGO events, all of these tend to show up and if you ask I am sure you could shoot them. After shooting them then decide for yourself which would suit you best.
