What I find disheartening is that I see many threads or responses to threads where people openly admit to breaking the law by speeding. Usually it's not just a mile or two over, it's 15 to 20 over.
What has become of our society that laws we don't agree with we just ignore. Does anyone ever stop behind the white line at a stop sign/light? Does anyone ever slow down at a yellow light instead of speeding up? How many routinely roll through stop signs? Do people use their turn signals any more?
I could go one, but what I have been observing is that our society has become self absorbed with what feels good to themselves and to heck with what is best for society as a whole. We have become spoiled, selfish and lazy.
I'm guilty. I wouldn't say that I intentionally speed because I disagree with the law. Most of the time, I'm really just flowing with traffic, but if I'm pulled over, I understand it's my responsibility.
