And I'm not drinking but I am CCing. I am the DD for a couple friends. Not a problem and glad to know they will be getting home safe.

There is a gentleman here who is harassing people and very obviously attempting to pick a fight. I am sober and not taking the bait. I was also informed by the bartender, a close personal friend, that the gentleman in question is an Avon PD officer who is off duty and very drunk. Monnect is his last name, not sure if it's spelled correctly but that's how it seemed he said it. So I guess my question is this:

Can you call the department and file a complaint against an officer who has publicly announced his occupational affiliation for off duty behavior?

It's very unbecoming of a public service individual.

    /rant off

Note to the mods: I put this under self defense in the event of an altercation.

Or just call the police and report that a drunk guy is harassing people and attempting to pick a fight at the bar.

They'll figure out who he is.

I stopped going to bars because of drunk A Holes wanting to fight !! Have the owner or manager kick him out.
I had a problem just this Halloween at my younger brothers hang out some drunk ass was trying to pick up little red riding hood and her friend the sexy nurse and he just wouldnt leave them alone. I had them sit next to me so they had someone to help deflect his BS. The owner and a bouncer had escorted him out before things got out of control.

Luckily, the gentleman in question was later escorted off the premises. I'll give ya'll the full story when I get home and am not on my phone. It might be tomorrow. Depends on how long it takes me to corral my intoxicated friends and take them home.

I know my employer has a clause in my contract about avoiding things which bring embarrassment to the company. Can't remember what those things are called, but I wonder if officers have that too.

Yay for you being the DD! Was there a drunk, pathetic looking person smoking at the bar playing the little video game machine by themselves? They always depress me so much.

Pointless. The cop could assault everyone in the bar and they still wouldnt do anything to him. Hes one of the kings men.

Drunk cop in a bar harassing people?

Sounds like an ordinary day in the life of a Chicago police officer. Move along, nothing to see.
