Just heard this song on Pandora today, and was wondering how the rest of the album was?

Any one have it? Is it worth picking up?

The song really picks up around 3 Minutes in.

Some pretty anti-gun lyrics right there... Of course, there was some basis in fact for them with the song...

I'm not a Skynyrd expert so what I say is with a grain of salt.
I thought their earlier stuff was more southern rock. Good old boy, hard country how ever you want to describe it and this album was a bit more straight up rock in roll. Not in a bad way just a bit different. Still liked it though.
Anyway that's my two cents.

Yep and "Gimme 3 Steps". Sort of the same group what was left after the plane crash.

They've never really been the same band since.

Spending 4 years in Louisiana ruins skynyrd.
There was one classic rock station in the area and every other song was skynyrd.
After about a month I was freebirded out.

I love Skynyrd. Saturday Night Special has always confused me, Its funny I almost made a thread about this the other day.

You wouldnt think the members of Skynyrd would be anti gun. I read somewhere one of the members (Rossington maybe, cant remember) used to carry a handgun everywhere including on stage. But Saturday Night Special is as anti gun as it can get:
