Treason, sedition, insurrection, dereliction of duty, subversion, other?? Maybe the call was on the up and up as Gen. Milley claims. Meaning, sure, he is allowed to call his counterpart in China. But suppose what he stated to his Chinese contact was contradictory to the stated position of the President, DoS, DoD, etc. What if he 'freelanced' details or commitments on behalf of the U.S. Gov? Wouldn't he still be culpable for one or more of the terms used in my first sentence? How much allowance is he given to BS? At what point does he cross the line? Is he acting officially as U.S. General or is he technically in a civilian role? All rhetorical questions with answers that won't change my personal opinion of him but might make a difference legally. Sorry for the long post.
