Shipping a muzzleloader

Am I correct that a muzzleloader does not need to be shipped through or to an FFL?

And? Not paying them to ship it, FedEx will be cheaper if I can.

Joe, no ffl needed for black powder or any gun gun made before 1899. You are good to go for shipping.

Stick in box, and stick in the mail USPS.
Black powder makes it not a gun ? , so even felons can own them.

If you are shipping a muzzleloader that has a replaceable barrel that can be changed to a barrel that fires a cartridge you have to go to an FFL. T/C Contender, Encore, some of the CVA's.
