    Between corn and soybean fields.
Somewhat new to the shotgun world. Bought a new 870 last winter and even though I've only been able to take it out and shoot it once (local range doesn't allow shotguns :( ) I really want a semi-auto high capacity one. No real reason other than why the hell not?

I have a Saiga 12 and it is a very very fun gun. 10rd mags, 12 and 20 rd drums.......ohhhhh yeeeeaaaahhh

I still think a Benelli M2 tactical with a regular stock would be fun too though

Winchester 97 can be slam fired and it has classic looks, magazines can be extended, costs are usually low. For straight up combat shotgun it hard to beat a High Standard 10B.

I have two Model 11-87s. One is the police model, the other is the special purpose I have set up with a rifled slug barrel for deer hunting. Both great guns, never a jam or misfire in either one.

I have the Benelli M2 and its great. Holds a bunch too. If you have a big budget then get the M4 but you can save about $700 with the M2

Well I have a HK 512 limited production shotgun that holds 7 rounds of buckshot and has a muzzle diverter for oval shot patterns. The 512 has beautiful wooden stock and fore end even tho it was developed for law enforcement. The action was manufactured for H&K by Franchi. Unfortunately not many were imported in the 80s.

    I like SPAS 15s.

    Really-
You can't go wrong with Remington 1187 Police models.
Price, reliability, parts and accessories are available. And it's still a fun gun to shoot. :ar15:

I don't understand why any range wouldn't allow shotguns? Rifle calibers, I understand. But shotguns?

Yes, Saiga 12 are a blast - if you have somewhere to shoot them for fun. As such, mine spent most of it's time collecting dust so I got rid of it. But if you want a hi cap. melon blaster, that's the way to go.
I'll stick with my Beretta 391's and 400 for clays.
